Farewell post

                     Hello my dear followers!!

I hope you all have a great day. You are all very valuable 💐 This post is not very happy for me because I have to say a short farewell to you. I have come to the end of my term and I used this blog for the current issues course. I shared various posts and content for you, I hope it was useful for you. This term was very good for our course teacher, dear Gökçe Kurt. We had fun and sometimes it was difficult, but she was always by our side, she was supportive in every way.

The Current Issues course certainly has some strengths and weaknesses for this term. For example, we live in a digital age and integrating technology and artificial intelligence into lessons is a golden opportunity for future teachers. What I learned in this course, and something our teacher also emphasized a lot, is that if we want our students to experience artificial intelligence or technology, we will show them how to do it with various methods. It is not enough to give students only theoretical information, we should have them experience it systematically with instructions. But I think it has a very important weakness: not all students can easily access technology and technological devices. Even today, there are still students who cannot access the internet, and it seems like this will continue for a while.

There weren't many topics that I had difficulty with in this course, we did the tasks that our teacher wanted in groups anyway. So I didn't have any difficulty. Only the assurance plan topic was a bit boring. Also, it was tiring to be given homework constantly at short intervals.

My favorite task was the flipped classroom task because we produced the lesson video using the application ourselves, the content and idea came completely from us. It was a process that we completely guided. I had a lot of fun. My least favorite task is Corpus-based teaching material. I didn't like it because this topic seemed too abstract.

If I were to come to my suggestions for improving this course, it would be that the practice  should be increased rather than theory in the course. It would be very useful for us to experience the subject we learn in the course in the classroom.

There are a few things I would like to say to my friends who will take this course next year. Experience the AI tools given in the course as much as possible. Don't complete the given tasks just to do them, do them to learn something.

Taking this course made me realize that there are different methods other than the traditional way of teaching. I realized that there is really a lot of material that I can use for lecturing. I realized that using AI I can use different fun methods for all kinds of learning styles.

That's all I want to say for now, take care of yourself. See you in the next course.
